colOURS for CFDA

colOURS, the final project of my fashion design BA, was nominated by Kent State faculty for the Council of Fashion Designer’s of America’s Fashion Futures Graduate Showcase. It was accepted and featured on CFDA.com and Vogue.
colOURS explores colorism in black female communities through fashion design research for a womenswear collection, for a fashion show presentation, and an accompanying Instagram face filter. The following is some of my research.

Left: This is an illustration of the space I imagined the collection to show in. The following pages shows from where the seating and floral arrangements are sourced.

Below: This sketch describes the choreography and musical accompaniments for the collection’s presentation.

Right: This sketch illustrates my ideas for packaging.

Below: I developed a Spark AR face filter to promote the collection on Instagram.
